How to look after your pets together

1. Getting started

1. Sign in on devquake.com (or create an account and confirm your email).
2. Open Your account → Available projects and Subscribe to “Pet care”.
3. Open the app and tap Add a pet: a name and the species are enough; the birthday, chip, vet and usual food can come later.

The start page shows Today (the rota of all your pets), the care coming up in the next 30 days and your pets. Tap a pet to open it.

2. Care and reminders

On the pet’s Care tab, add vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, vet visits, medicines or grooming, with the next date. The usual interval is filled in (a year for vaccinations, three months for deworming); empty it for one-off care.

• Tap Done when it is done, with the day and an optional note (for example the vaccine’s batch). Repeating care moves on to its next date by itself.
• Everyone who looks after the pet gets an email 3 days before and on the day, in their language, and a notification on DevQuake.
• The care that was done stays in Done lately, with who did it.

Pet care is not veterinary advice: ask your vet which vaccinations and intervals your pet needs.

3. The daily rota

On the Rota tab, the owner adds tasks like breakfast, the evening walk or cleaning the litter: a time, the days and whose turn it is (or anyone).

• Whoever did it ticks it, on the start page or the pet’s page; everyone sees who did it.
• Forgot to tick? The last 7 days can be ticked on the Rota tab.

4. Weight and profile

The Weight tab keeps a log with a chart and the change since the last weight. The Profile tab has the photo, breed, birthday, chip and passport numbers, the vet, insurance, usual food and notes for a sitter.

5. Family and pet sitters

1. On the Profile tab, under Who looks after it, choose a last day for a pet sitter (or none for family) and tap Make an invite link.
2. Send the link. Whoever opens it while signed in to DevQuake becomes a carer.
3. Carers tick the rota and add care, weight and notes. After their last day they no longer see the pet; you can change the day or remove them at any time.

New link makes the old link stop working; people who joined stay.

6. With your other apps

• Shopping lists: connect the two apps and put the pet’s food on a shopping list from its Profile tab in one step.
• Family planner: connected, the care dates of your pets show in the family calendar.

Connections are made once on DevQuake (Works with at the bottom of every page) and can be removed under Account → Connected apps.

7. Your data

Only the people who look after a pet see it. If you delete your account or unsubscribe, your pets pass to a family carer without a last day, or are deleted with everything about them; your name is removed from what you did for other people’s pets.
